Hot summer days make our thoughts turn to the outdoors. This month we are joined by Bryan Hewitt, published author and senior gardener at Myddleton House in Enfield. He will be telling us about the fascinating life of eccentric plantsman and gardener Edward Bowles who established the garden there. Bowles was a collector of the strange and unusual of the plant world. Many of the gardeners amongst us will be indirectly familiar with Edward Bowles through the many plants which have been named after him.
