This is the mantra of Kraftgurus, known for authentic experiences, delivered by grassroots artists, through its workshops. Kraftgurus is owned by Nilanjana - a lawyer by training and now an academic - and its creation is inspired by her love of India [homeland], its vibrant arts-crafts heritage and passion for all things handmade.
In February 2020 Nilanjana was preparing to launch her tourism business when Covid19 struck. Her prize-winning artists were in financial distress that prompted her to quickly transform the business into an online learning platform.
Since its founding, Kraftgurus has been known for authentic experiences, delivered by grassroots artists, through its workshops. Apart from workshops, it aims to expand the experience of the exceptional arts-crafts heritage of India through handmade products and offbeat experiences in India. The art of storytelling is combined with arts-crafts practices to learn about their different aspects.
Kraftgurus is happy to collaborate with like minded people and organisations to bring about and increase the awareness of Indian aesthetics through its heritage arts-crafts and create new avenues for dialogue and collaboration.
